Pretty cool when you realize over 2700 pictures were entered into the contest and only six 1st place winners...

Adult FEMALE Indian Star Tortoise (Geochelone elegans)

Greetings! I have decided to sell my beautiful female Indian Star Tortoise (Geochelone elegans). I have had her for a couple of years and she is heavy, healthy, and eats like a horse. As you can see she is about 7 inches long and ready to breed. I was told she was CB and has laid eggs in...

PIC - Golden Greek Mother & Eggs

Just like last summer my female Golden Greek has laid 2 eggs, which look to be fertile. She dug her nest on the hottest day of the week when it was 95F! As you can see I dug open the nest to take this picture and placed the eggs in the incubator at 90F.

Momma Bear & Cubs in my yard!

Oops, mispelled, it should be "through my yard." Nothing scary about black bears as long as you show them respect and leave them alone. I've encountered a couple and they always run away.

    PIC - Perfect Baby 3 Toed :)

As most of you have seen, I posted the sad picture of the quadruplets that didn't survive. So here's a "happy picture" of their sibling that hatched a couple days earlier. It's next to it's egg shell and a quarter to give you an idea of it's size. As you can see, it's perfect in every...

WARNING: Graphic Pics of Deceased Quadruplets

The egg was normal size and I had no idea anything was wrong. It had incubated for about 60 days which is normal. Another egg from the same clutch hatched normally a couple days earlier and the hatchling is a bit small but perfect.

WARNING: Graphic Pics of Deceased Quadruplets

WARNING: The pictures in this post are very graphic and sad of quadruplets box turtles from one egg that did not survive. I am only posting them because of interest from forum members as being educational from a biological view. Sometimes in nature unfortunate births can occur like this. I...

    4 Hatchlings in 1 Egg

I had a sad experience today with what I thought was a normal 3 toed box turtle hatching. It started yesterday, but I noticed the hatchling looked a little deformed as it was half out the egg and struggling as you can see in the picture below. I peeked inside the opening today and could see...

    Close Up Black Bear Video

Put my Bushnell Trophy Cam inside a wooden box and right on my deer feeder and it took some nice close up video's of this black bear. Turn up your volume to hear him crunching away! LINK: http://youtu.be/zBAyHO3yDaM
