    Cuora bourreti

Anyone know breeders/keepers of this species? DM is fine, trying to get more husbandry info and of course find unrelated genetics. The TSA has dozens of these guys, but no genetics ever get released or so I am told...

    Cuora bourreti

I actually moved to AZ, Tucson to be exact. They can do well indoors, but space definitely needs to be a consideration. Females can get 8-10". They are similar to my Pyxis in that they are not terribly active, which helps. Here is a picture of a adult female Bourreti to get an idea of size...

    First breakfast!

3 years later everyone is growing beautifully, but slowly of course. The yearly brumation is always stressful, but you just have to try and relax and let nature take its course...

    Cuora bourreti

One of the nicest looking animals I've seen in real life. Fantastic species, highly recommend working with this cuora species.

    Cuora galbinifrons, serrata, bouretti

I keep quite a few Spengleri, and have decided to expand my collection to include another asian turtle. I have been trying to find galbinifrons for the past year with no luck. I have decided to expand my search to include serrata, and bouretti, but information is weak. Does anyone keep either...

    Planicauda have arrived

Wonderful, decided to split them up and have had much better results in activity and feeding response. They are tricky, no doubt about that...

    More PVC tanks

Incredibly immature response after being called out on ZERO knowledge about a setup for a unique species. The heavily pyramided female was not raised by me, she is 12-14 years old and was raised in dry conditions, as was common practice a decade ago. She did just get a basically clean bill of...

    More PVC tanks

As a moderator on here Wellington you should be more informed on species-specific husbandry before making recommendations or negative comments. Those tanks house Egyptian tortoises. They all weigh under 250 grams. In fact my males weigh under 140 grams. Their substrate is completely...

    More PVC tanks

4x2x18”. One of the biggest benefits I’ve found with focusing on small species is the ability to have enclosures that are not very high. Allows you to stack more, and more importantly, allows you to use smaller wattage bulbs, lowering costs and keeping the tortoise room at a more manageable...

0.0.5 Pure Western Hermanni hermanni Mount Etna locale

Have a group 0.0.5 of pure Western hermanni hermanni Mount Etna locale. Ordered several years ago from GardenState, but my collection focus has changed since originally purchased. These guys are eating/pooping machines. 100% healthy guaranteed. Smooth, no pyramiding. They are uncommon in...

Geoemyda spengleri, worlds easiest hatchling setup?

The group is growing! Added several more from this past breeding season. They are such fun, easy to care for species. I think their reputation as being very fragile applies only to the WC imports that came in back in the day. Hoping for a successful pairing between my oldest male and female in...

He is here, my (hopefully and probably) male cuora mccordi

Crazy beautiful, crazy rare! What kind of setup are you using? Cant remember if they are kept aquatic that young.

    Planicauda have arrived

My thoughts as well. Almost no one seems to know how to incubate for females with flat tails. Have another hatchling with split scutes, hoping it might give me a shot for female.
