I'm about to get the same bulb (100w power sun) and was going to use it in my zoomed 8.5" dome w/ ceramic socket. You guys are all suggesting a 10". Think the zoomed 8.5" will be ok? Thanks:)

Ah the diet thing - I was smearing everything with banana, feeding him in direct sunlight to try and increase appetite, and in the last few days (when he actually stopped eating altogether) doing carrot soaks. It's been a few weeks...

Hi hello all, I need help on re-doing my outdoor enclosure. It's for a red foot, who is um... currently still at large. I built it before I came across this forum and all the pics of your awesome enclosures - yeah at the time I thought it was escape-proof. Obviously not. Here's our backyard...

Oh and Chris is on the job:) He was the first person I contacted, especially since I knew he had a soft spot for torts. We've gone into his yard and looked, nothing yet. But I'm still hopeful since in four months, there wasn't that much ground covered last time. At least none of my neighbors...

Ahh! Ok, Wellington, thank you for the advice! Seriously, my enclosure was obviously NOT so great as I thought. So are you saying rough sided rock is bad? And how high should the sides be? It's between 7-8" at the lowest places now.
