I see your raising a sulcata in the midwest. I dream of owning a sulcata, but have no idea how i’d do the brutal winters. would you mind sharing a picture of your full indoor setup?

yes, the shower curtain tents above the lighting so everything is within the curtain. That crushes me to hear. I’ll do what I can do minimize the damages.

Thank you! I should’ve clarified that I have a shower curtain covering the screen to keep humidity in. I will adjust the heat and lighting right away. I’m guessing I need to wet the substrate more often. He has been digging down lower lately, so duh. Needs more moisture. I feel awful. UGH!!

Between 50-80% with daily soaking and in a closed chamber. What the heck am I doing wrong? 🙈

65 watt incandescent flood bulb & Florescent High Output UV tube. Both on 12 hours. Heating is 6 inch above and UV is about 12 inches. I have it on top of a screen. Now i’m thinking not enough is reaching him. He does get soaked daily and goes outdoors in sunshine to do so most days.

I can see new rings, but does the shell look bumpy? So scared of pyramiding 😬
