I put rocktops name and phone number on a regular dog tag that you can engrave at the pet store, and epoxied it to the shell near his tail. works great
You might need to upgrade to a small rubbermaid shed with an oil electric heater on a thermostat. Those ceramic ones dont make the grade outside sometimes.
Ibought a russian from Petco . He is about 4 inches. I asked the manager, he said all the tortoises are cb. I even called the main petco administration and the told me that they used to sell wc a few years ago but they only sell cb tortoises now. Considering his size I am questioning this...
Considering that the tortoise may outlive you ,its not really a bad price. Think of it some people pay more than that for a dog , and they only live 15 years or so!
I live in Florida, I have a rubbermaid shed set up for my Sulcata. I keep it daytime 75 and nightime around 70.,on the thermostat. it seems to be fine for him. I have hay in there for him to burrow in also.
