Thank you so much! I took one of my males out of their bioactive enclosure and put him in to a sterile environment due to a small cut and he keeps sticking out his penis and excreting clear mucous that coats it-- should I be worried? He left a small puddle of it yesterday
Hello all, long time no see. I have recently found out that my two sulcata tortoises are male, due to a very funny story about me not recognizing their penises. For some reason, it never occurred to me that they might be male. Maybe that was my own bias, and I've learned my lesson.

I think my tort may have eaten a seed but it was more likely a rabbit dropping. My tort is 3mo. I tried to remove it from her mouth and was too late, it was too far back. I'd like to know the signs just in case and I'll be watching her.
I live in the middle of nowhere with nothing but foxtail, Opuntia, a few small flowering plants like dandelion they can eat, and dirt. They are very few living plants here that aren't poisonous to them and one tort hates Opuntia (days of trial and error allowed me to sneak it into mazuri tort...
It's like they are building up momentum to go out of their shell or to walk forward haha That being the way theysniff the air makes sense but I think I'd see it more if that was general breathing
They make a rocking motion going a little bit into the shell and then out. They do this when waking up, soaking, being held, eating, but why? It's so cute! I feel like it means they are happy, because they typically end up stretched out afterwards. I looked around a bit to see if I could find...
It's been a couple of days since I've seen just straight urates. I've seen a bit in the poo. He is on pinworm medication. I'm worried it might be a urate stone?
