He closed his eyes again as soon as I put him back in his cage

There is also like a white thing on his eyelid. Could his eyes have been damage from the light and if so is there anyway to help with it?

My tortoise just opened its eyes but he keeps scratching at his eyes.

My tortoises eye just opened! He is squinting a little but it will most likely get better! I have an infrared heater coming tomarrow and a regular light over it. Do I need a light that has UVB if I put vitamins on his food?

His eyes are still close. But I have added a small mister and switched over to a weaker light. All help and any help is appreciated.

Thank You for everyone who has responded! I kept off the light today to see how things would go without it. If any of you could kindly send the things to the bulbs I should be using that was be great. I really appreciate all the help that I got!

Its 100 wattage and Id say it's about 6 inches from the floor of the cage
