    Aristotle's Valentines wishes

Hi All, Thought I would post a quick Aristotle update and share his valentines photoshoot haha! He's still a grumpy little lad but he's eating well and growing well. His rain system is still working beautifully and he seems to enjoy his simulated forest! Here he is enjoying a sneaky...

    Giant African Land Snails

They gently rasp but it's not really noticeable :)

    Giant African Land Snails

Thought I'd share an image of Myrtle- she is my light skinned tiger (although she may darken up as she grows). She has grown fairly quickly for a tiger snail. I'll post pictures of her again in a few months to show the difference. And the larger snail, is currently the biggest of my lot. This...

    Giant African Land Snails

I'm fascinated by them! My retics grow very quickly but my tiger snails are much slower growing. I took on an albino tiger and her shell condition was awful from poor diet and not having her humidity and temperature controlled. But I'm pleased to say with the correct care I've managed to get...

    Giant African Land Snails

Some wild caught ones do have worms but you can worm them by feeding crushed and soaked hemp seeds. Tiger snails are actually a delicacy in parts of Africa and there are far fewer in the wild due to this.

    Calci-worms for protein

A friend of mine feeds her skink newly hatched Giant African land Snails and I've wondered if when mine have hatchlings would they be suitable to feed to a redfoot? Does anyone know?

    Calci-worms for protein

I got them from a local reptile shop here in the U.K. I really couldn't believe how much he loved them. The lovely thing is the shop know me well and know I only have one only have the one young redfoot and it's not practical for me to be buying a whole pack of calci-worms and having a load turn...

    Calci-worms for protein

Hi all (long time no posting!), I've been unable to make it online to chat with work commitments etc but I'm back. Aristotle is doing well and growing beautifully. I tried him on mealworms a while back and he had one and was then not interested in taking them. Even when hidden in his food he...

    Contemplating increasing RF numbers

So the general consensus is I need to persuade my other half to let me get two more RF's lol. I did fall in love with two little ones today!

    Contemplating increasing RF numbers

Is it best to do introductions when they're younger? Your 7 week old sounds very sweet, like he wants to be like the older one!

    Contemplating increasing RF numbers

Hi all, I got my little Aristotle back in August and we think he is approximately 6 months old. We have now come across some hatchlings not much younger than him. My love of RF's just grows everyday and I'd love to have more than one but have a few questions: 1) Is it the right time to make...

    2 more redfoots

Oh bless them! And you for taking them in and getting them on the road to a healthier life.

    Share your red foot pictures!

If that flayling leg doesn't say, 'put me back in my dinner!' I don't know what does! Excellent picture!

    Can't find a suitable substrate

Looking good! You can set up a system where your heat lamps turn off if an optimum temp is reached and click back on again if they need to heat again. You'll need a thermostat to monitor this. I have a temperature gradient across my enclosure too which is advised. I also have 3 different...
