If you are painting the wood I don't think you need to buy treated. The paint seals it for you. And I believe most caulks arnt paintable but if you are painting white you can use a white or clear caulk and then no need to paint. I personally use an all silcone formula for my torts enclosure.
UPDATE: Its been about 6 months. So far everything as been great. I think every enclosure of mine in the future will be getting lined with truck bed liner.

One of my friends asked me to ID these torts for him. I know they are not his and not sure where he came across the photo. However I still insisted on telling him to never house torts on pellets as in the photo :) The best ID I can come up with is a Bowsprit tortoise (chersina angulata)...

Think I'm finally getting somewhere! With vents in and fully open humidty is good and temps only a tad high.

I ended up putting in 2-2"x12" floor registers in the top of the enclosure. One on each side and that way I can adjust the flow and hopefully create a temperature gradient.
I would remove the tomatoes and carrots. Carrot are very high in sugars and the totmatoes contain lots of acid. Greeks should be fed a wide variety of broad leafy greens and weeds. Kale is ok in small amounts. Dandelion and romaine are good choices. Some will argue romaine is more of a...
