I just finished building a bigger and better indoor tortoise table for my redfoot and I would like to put some plants in it. Can anyone tell me what would be some good choices that I can get from from my local garden center. Thanks for any help.
Hey all,
I haven't been on in a long time dealing with finishing school and finding work. And now i have a new problem I had 2 of my males into the vet for a beak and nail trim and while we were there I had the do a stool check just to check. Their weight was down a little, but i thought maybe...
I also use hatchrite and it has worked well for me. My problem in the beginning was too much humidity. I now follow pretty much the same protocol as kanalomele. I keep my incubator set up year round as my russians tend to lay whenever so in order to not have to keep setting the temp i just leave...

I also use them for all my shipping and like the others I have no complaints and i will continue to use them. I especially like how Andy will set up home pickups so that I don't have to go across town to drop my tortoises off.
What I found is that they like to burrow down into something rather than go straight into a hide so what I did was angle my hides down into the substrate so they get that feeling of going into a burrow. They really seem to like that much better I very rarely will see them digging into a corner...
You can never tell I had eggs I thought for sure were duds and they ended up hatching and I have also had eggs I thought were fertile and nothing so I agree keep them in the incubator and see what happens
