Thank you! Yes the plants are real, but he never really tries to eat them. If you plant something in you enclosure that he does like it wont last long..

I like to use a mix of organic top soil and coco coir for my substrate. Here is a pic of my little mans old enclosure for some ideas..

For a 3 year old tort I would say that enclosure is too small. A bigger space (as large as possible) with lots of plants so he cant see from one side to the next I think would be best.

What i like to do is wait and and get an idea of the little guys personality, and see what names come from that. It took about 3 weeks to name my tort till we finally came up with reggie. :)

I would add some live plants and it also looks kinda small for him. Just my opinion:)

70 to 80 is ok for the cooler side, and his basking temps should be around 95.

You need to cut that screen out. If uv cant penetrate then the calcium does no good.
