Houdini likes his meal late afternoon before the sun sets. Now that we've lost daylight savings, I'm always getting that side eye look.

Houdini doesn't look at me directly if he's peeved with me. He turns his head & looks at me with one eye.

It is all about the tweaking. The tweaking really never stops because you always have changing variables, including your tort is growng & changing. You're doing what you should be doing: asking questions & finding solutions. Good for you!

I love Houdini but I honestly don't have the energy or time to care for more than 1 tortoise. He's grown from 3 lbs in July 2021 to 7-1/2 lbs in April 2023. He's always looking to escape when he's outside. So I am happy to say "hi" to the box turtles roaming around our 2 acres & the tree...

It's been raining almost non-stop here since Monday night. No violent weather so far. We need the rain as it's been a dry spring & the lake is 6' below normal with high winds & grass fires.

If you can. Find out what medicine the vet gave your little one. The meds could be responsible for a decline in appetite.

Stay buttoned down. It was easily blowing 40 mph with gusts higher here in OK today. It brought in warmer temperatures this am but we're talking low humidity, brush fires, power outages, but this is typical weather once you get out of winter temps & high winds. No need to put out bird feeders...

Likewise the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado. I stayed in the old wing in a part of the hotel not yet remodeled in 1981. I could even hear that damn tricycle creeping up & down the hallway. But seriously, you just saw things moving in your peripheral vision that weren't "there there."...

You don't have one of those yet, do you? That is so cool. There's this place just outside of Cheyenne, WY called "Terry's Bison Ranch" along i-25 that not only has a big herd of buffalo but a few camels, as well. Sometimes you can see them from the highway. And I sure miss those tv ads...
