    20-30 years is a fair estimate. Definitely a female with that short tail. I have a couple females i keep outdoors and they do quit well, and all musks can thrive in large aquariums as well

    I keep a female mississippi map and female false map in a 14x8' pond year round here in north Ga with no issues. They handle cold quite well, provided depth and some insulation from leaves and vegetation on the bottom
