    Greek Tortoise Advice

She looks older like many have said. Mine is a year and a half old and is 3 1/2 inches long. I built her a cage from a bookshelf, clear shower liner, and organic top soil. I think it cost me a total of $30. I wouldn't suggest feeding her the green beans. Mine loves mazuri ( i find this at the...

    bad neighbor stories....

I lived by some bad people and some nice ones. The worst was the one that would steal gas out of the car, the hub caps off of the car, and would sit on the porch when he knew my father was out on his big rig and would harass my mom. So we got a doberman puppy and he ended up poisoning it and...

    cope with stress

I can understand where you are coming from. I am Bipolar II and have been off meds for a little over a year. The doctor kept switching my meds because nothing seemed to be working out. The last meds they had me on I was having to go have blood drawn every week to make sure the levels were ok. I...

    What are you listening to?

I've been listening to a lot of different stuff but lately I have Darren Hayes "Black out the sun" stuck in my head. It's from his upcoming album Secret Codes and Battleships. It looks like I'm going to have to pay almost $40 for the CD though since it's an import from the UK...

    Corporate Conspiracy? (Rant...)

I don't shop at Walmart for several reasons anymore. First of all is the reason you've already stated with them wanting to run my DL even with my receipt. Second of all I tried to return a book that someone had bought me for my birthday there and I already had it, well the people at guest...

    My new Bearded Dragon!

Yeah that's the main reason I went with the beardie. I wouldn't know if the baby iguana was a girl or a boy and didn't want to end up with an aggressive male later on down the road. If I had the $200 bucks to spare they have a nice adult female iguana that is very tame and sweet. But then again...

    My new Bearded Dragon!

Thanks everyone! I think she is the best. It was between her and an iguana but I'm glad I went with my little beardie. Here's some more pictures of her where I was holding her.

    My new Bearded Dragon!

Sorry I haven't been on much. I've been babysitting for a friend for 11 hours a day and between that and taking care of my animals I haven't had time to do much of anything. So yesterday I actually had a day off and I went to the pet store that my friend owns and the baby bearded dragons...

Getting a new baby ball python!!

So a friend of mine bred his ball pythons this year and got a Bumblebee male baby out of the clutch. And guess what! He's letting me buy it off of him for a really good deal! I'm so excited! He'll make a great breeding partner with my female Pastel Jungle! Haven't thought of a name for him yet...

What Are You Reading or favorite book

I read a lot of books, usually I read about two a day... I just read Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran which was really good. My husband brought home Sins in the House of Borgia by Sarah Bower which I'll read tomorrow. Some of my favorites are: Shakespeare, Janet Evanovich, James Patterson...

What do you do for a living?

I'm 23 and I'm a stay at home wife. I take care of all our animals (chinchilla, fish, dog, cats, ball pythons, corn snakes, colombian boa constrictors, sand boas, greek tortoise, a hamster and a rat) and keep the house clean and food made. I advocate for others with disabilities (I'm a...

    Rosie's coming home

She should be fine just let her adjust when you bring her home. My 13 year old cat stresses anytime I move furniture, she hates changes but when I moved to Arizona from Tennessee she was 10 years old and she survived a cross country move in a car for two and a half days ride. Good luck!

    Pictures of my snakes

Thanks! I like retics and wished I could have one but they get too big for a 90 pound 4' 11" lady to handle lol. Plus my husband would have a cow if I asked for one (this I know because I asked for a Burmese Python and he had a fit).
