Thank you for the reply, I'll check that out. I've put him in a carrot soak today to see if that helps, he's just not eating, but seems totally fine in himself.
It's all his own set up, although she did put in all new substrates, etc as she wanted him to be clean with me.
I've checked his temps, he's in my living room which is averaging just over 20 at the minute & his basking spot is around 30.
Are these ok?
I'm needing some advice. I'm currently looking after my friend's baby tortoise at my house whilst she is away on holiday. If I'm honest, I'm not sure how old he is or what species he is - but guessing Hermanns/Horsefield or similar. He's not quite as big as the palm of my hand.
He's not eaten...
I think you could be right. I'm more swayed to them both being male now. What are the thoughts on keeping 2 males together? I've had them a year & this is the first trouble I've seen, but once it starts, doesn't it stop?

Hi
not posted here for a while.
Probably may not be clear on what I'm saying, so apologies in advance.
I got 2 spur thighed (greek) tortoises last year, aged at 6 & said to be both female, also posted pictures on here & also told to be female. After a successful hibernation & 2 very happy...
Hi
I'm getting ready for my torts to come out of hibernation. I've had a 2 floor tortoise table built for indoors, I'm in the UK, for them. I already have a MVB bulb that I'll put for the top floor but was thinking I would need a UV light for the bottom part to ensure they get all the UV they...
My torts are on wind down ready for hibernating in a few weeks, with them not eating I wondered if they still needed the supplements? If so, how do they get them?
Thanks
Hi
I have 2 6yr old spur thighed (TGG). I only got them this year so I haven't gone through a hibernation with them yet. They have previously been hibernated though. I'm in the UK & the temps have already dropped down to between 50-60f max.
I have a good idea of the wind down to hibernation, I...
RE: "Autmn Joy" Sedum
Hi
My 2 love sedum autumn joy. They're Greek tortoises, but I give them it mixed into their diet.
I'm sure others will comment, but that's us :)
I'd get one from the same breeder & the same 'batch', but not til after hibernation now so they'd have been separated for at least 6 months. Would this cause a problem?
