    Rosie's progress

Hello everyone! I just want to share with you all how well Rosie is doing. When I joined this forum I was as inexperienced as they come, and due to all of your help and wonderful threads, I've managed to turn things around for Rosie. As stated in my first post, Rosie was subjected to severe...

    Fruit

Thank you for your advice, I really appreciate it. I am grateful for this forum, it is helping so much. I will avoid fruit entirely.

    Fruit

Hello everyone! I hope that you are all doing well. I just want to find out, will it be okay if I give my leopard tortoise, Rosie, a little bit of fruit once a week? Will this be too often? Should I rather do it once every two weeks? Once a month? Or is it not a good idea at all? I have read...

    Soaking. (no appetite)

Wow... I love this plan. This is definitely something I will incorporate if she is being stubborn for too long. Rosie LOVES cucumber with all of her heart, and I only give it as a treat every now and then. Thank you so much! ?

This is very good advice. I will start doing this right away. Thank you so much! Will get her back on track in no time.

    Soaking. (no appetite)

Thank you so much for the advice. I will definitely add more of a variety to her diet, but allow her to choose what she likes and not. Will gradually get her into it.

    Soaking. (no appetite)

Hello everyone! just a quick question... does anyone have any tips on how to make their tortoise more food driven? My leopard tort, Rosie, really was not fed much by her previous owners. The same old food would be left in her enclosure for five days at a time, and she was only fed iceberg...

    Leopard tortoise substrate

Hello everyone! I have kept my tort on sand with some bark around the food and water bowl. I literally realised today (thanks to threads on here about it) that sand is not a good substrate and that it can be dangerous. I am going to change this immediately. I want the best for my tort and I feel...

Thank you so much! I do not know much about where she came from. All I know is that she came from people who own property and house various tortoises, and then they sell the babies to those who want to adopt them (although adoption is debatable because obtaining a permit to house tortoises is...

Goodness, thank you SO much for this care sheet. I actually haven't come across it and I am very happy to have it now. And also grateful to @Tom for posting it. I have only been on the forum for half an hour and already there is great support. Thank you.

Hello everyone! My name is Desiré and I am new to TortoiseForum. I have been lurking here and reading about all that I can about leopard tortoises. I have a one year and three months old leopard tortoise, her name is Rosie. We live in South Africa. I am very excited to be here and very excited...
