My tortoise does not mind the consistency of the grass and I cannot tell a difference myself. The dandelions and clovers are slightly soggy but they still munch it right down. I do not own a vacuum seal so I just squeezed the air out. I thought about dehydrating but this works so well for me...

On a hot summer day, this makes a wonderful frozen treat as well. My tortoise loves to eat it still frozen.

I made sure I got all the air out of the bag before closing. Also, I did nothing special to thaw the grass out. It only takes a few minutes to do so on its own.

I am very proud of my two Sulcatas for sticking with their all grass and weeds diet. Yoshi is 8 months old and King Koopa is 10 years old. I live in a very dry and in winter very cold climate. I decided I would try to freeze grass and weeds in freezer bags to stockpile for winter months ahead...
