I bought my sulcata from underground reptiles before reading reviews :-/ At first the little guy seemed okay although hes never been a big eater unless outside. Now though hes wanting to sleep a lot, only opens his eyes outside and they seem very watery, his shell is feeling softer so much so...

guys I think hes sick... his shell feels soft today (it never has before) and hes pretty lethargic..I gave him a carrot bath and he seemed to perk up for a minute but then back to sleep in his tank.. ive been reading about hatchling failure and am really worried hes going through it..... ?

I try to feed him a wide variety ive even bought multiple blends and hays he just seems to be really picky

Ive been using the coconut coir for his substrate. Im going to try the carrot baby food bath. He seems to be a really picky eater

Im unsure its only the one eye that wont open and I went a little crazy with his food options so he has alfalfa hay, mazuri pellets, some land tortoise plend that looks like poop and some Faulkner's tortoise food I also give him dandelion Romaine lettuce and occasionally carrots

Hey Tom, I purchased him from a breeder in Flordia :-/ As far as the lighting goes we have a dual light for day time that offers a 150 w uvb and a 100 w uva I like to start his day with just the uva then after about an hour the uvb kicks on as well and stays on till about 6pm when again the sun...
