I live and Springfield Mo, and have two six year olds one is 100lbs and the other is 72lbs. I have a heated/air conditioned shed they live in. One of mine will go out even if there is snow on the ground. The coldest weather she has been walking around in was around 8F which she spent about 10...
My oil heater is only 1500w and I normally have it on the middle setting amd it keeps my shed pretty toasty even on the coldest days. It just takes longer to get there but once there it seems like it has no trouble keeping the temperature.
My two live in a shed that I insulated and added a pig blanket and oil filled heater. This year I also added airconditioning .
I built a new door for so I could just change them out when the weather changes again. I store the other door inside the shed. I insulated my shed to only an r13 and...
Ethel getting a new wheel. He was attacked by a dog. I got him right after it happened when he weighed 65g. I had to give him shots for 10 days. He now weighs 75lbs at 5 years old.
Fred 65lbs laying a clutch of 27 eggs.
My Sulcatas get it regularly and love to eat it. I like the LS version which has Timothy hay as its first ingredient. In the winter when they cannot head out to eat grass and weeds they get it more often.
My tortoise Fred has gone to school many times with me. The last time I took her on our field day and she got to wonder around the school yard. I think that almost all of our 300 students got to say hi and give her a good scratch on the back. The kids really enjoy seeing her in real life. Fred...
Rose of Sharon grows around here like weeds. My guys like the white flowers the best although they eat all of them but, the are Sulcatas. The nieghorhood kids pick flowers from my front yard and throw them over my fence where my two tortoises are waiting like sharks.
I live in southern Missouri and we get snow and it get down to as cold as zero here. Our winters are not very long or normally that cold. My Sulcatas seem to roll with it very well. They have a heated shed ame I open their door everyday. They go outside almost everyday in the winter, last...
I tried it in the past, was not real impressed. Plus the cost is outrageous, I can buy a 25lb bag of Mazuri for less than a couple pounds of the Marion zoological red food sticks.
