Thanks a lot! We sorted through thousands of pics to choose the ones for the web site and we're glad it's finally done! It was interesting seeing the changes in all the torts over the years, especially the rads. We had a lot of fun documenting it all and will continue to do so.
We'll post...
You're very welcome and thanks for the compliments!
Congrats on your collection! Feel free to send us a PM anytime. We'd be happy to answer any questions or share info!

Beautiful girl! Two of ours came with bright yellow heads that really made them stand out from the other hatchlings. As adults, they still have the same yellow heads. I'm sure yours will too.

Hi everyone,
We've had numerous requests for a web site and we're happy to finally announce that our web site is up!
If anyone's interested, there are hundreds of pics of the seven species we're working with. The pics were taken over several years and really show the changes in the torts...

They were raised in a 6'x4'x1' glass enclosure with lights hanging into the enclosure. Most of the enclosure was covered in plexi (except at the openings for the lights). I misted frequently and used under tank heaters, which kept humidity way up. Now that they're adults, the enclosures are open...
I agree with Tom. We've hand fed ours since they were hatchlings and they're all extremely trusting and outgoing. They actually seem to enjoy human interaction and love to get their heads and chins scratched.
