Totally insane...I was looking around for a large sulcata to get in Texas area when I can across them
What does that have to do with Pyramiding? I know a pet some in Austin who keep an iguana with a sloth and have for a long time and nothing has every happened. They both look perfectly happy in that picture, you know I have no problem with people suggesting things. Giving advice about anything...
Humidity problems fixed! I changed out all the old substrate that was a mixture of coconut husk chips (that I bought under the understanding they were amazing for humidity, no they suck! Never buy them) and cypress mulch. Replaced it with nothing but Eco Earth and wow!! By now, it's been about...
Digital, I question there accuracy maybe
Your enclosure looks almost just like mine, I think it must be my substrate. I am going to get Coco coir and use that and plant lots of real plants in the cage.

I'll also make the plexi glass doors more tightly sealed against air flow. Hopefully...
I agree, but the thing is I have two humidity monitors in each cage, they change so much it's odd. With highs as much as 95% and lows in the 50s all in same day, sometimes as low as in the 40s
[hr]
I prefer for the ground to not be wet under them all the time, it's not like they are unhealthy...
Okay so I am having so seriously frustrating problems with humidity in closed chambers!! I don't understand why?!
It's a closed chamber, lights and everything inside the cage. Caulked seams and painted with exterior paint. I don't know what's happening to all the moisture so quickly! I have to...
I need to sell my Black and White Argentina Tegu. He is tame but needs a little time, I have taken him out everyday I've had him, with difficulty, and once he is out of cage is fine, will ride on shoulder sit in your hand, ride on your head and eat out of your hand. He is healthy and eating. His...
I finished my new enclosures today, im proud of it but I am a 21 year old college girl who doesn't know a thing about how to properly build something so don't be too hard on me.
Its not completely done, still needs the front sliding doors. But each layer is for a different animal and the two...
Here is an update of the sully I rescued :) :)
This is how he looked the first day I got him
This is how he looks now, he weighs WAY MORE than when I first got him and his shell is now rock hard. All new growth is smooth
Let me know what you think. He was really shy when I got...
That's a good looking sully :)
I'd be patient, I got a rescue from a pet store and it took him about 2-3 days of lots of soaks, humidity, and Uvb to start really eating and being active, he is much more use to me.
He is smaller than yours, a baby but I think once yours just really get comfy...
I'm so sorry about your baby
How have you been keeping the baby sully?
What are the temps? The Basking temp, cool side temp, and night time temp?
What lights are you using, what is his Uvb source?
What is the humidity levels? High and lows?
Substrate your using?
A pic of the...
Activity, make sure he moves around at least some. I know babies hide a lot but even with that I see my torts roaming around quite a bit. Open, bright eyes, make sure they don't look swollen. It doesn't look like it from pic. I wouldn't worry about Pyramiding because he is so young, even if he...
O I won't :) none of my animals go a day without interaction. My torts get held every day, soaked, feed and loved on. My plan is for my Tegu (who will be named Oreo) to be my shoulder buddy. Cruise my room with me, the house. I'm going to try and potty train him
O wow that is a big one.
Mine is just a yearling, or maybe even younger. I wanted the smallest one so I could really socialize with it as it grows
Its going to be put in a 20" wide and 5 feet long enclosure, with front sliding plexidoors.
