Do you keep your night box humid?

I just saw this I guess I skipped over it. That sounds like a good idea I've been watching the humidity inside the box and it goes between 60 and 80 percent depending on the weather so I think Itll be good. Even if the temp gets down to the 40s and its dry out it stays in the mid 60% range for...

Do you keep your night box humid?

Thank you for your input. My biggest concern with putting down some sort of bedding is that I am using a KANE heat mat as one of my heat sources and there are multiple warnings not to cover the heat mat with any sort of bedding or blanket. I know i wouldn't put it on it, but the tortoise may...

Do you keep your night box humid?

I have just completed my night box and right now I am testing everything to make sure it is safe before moving my Sulcata in. One question I have though is should it be kept humid like a closed chamber or just kept warm? If you keep it humid how do you do it? Mine is 4x4x2 so limited space to...

Also, @Tom you use the radiant heat panels... do you recommend mounting from the ceiling or a wall? I will also have a Kane heat mat to hopefully help maintain temps in the lower part of the box

Starting My Heated Night Box(Suggestions Welcome)

I plan on adding an overhang but didn't calculate for it when I bought everything so I need to make a trip for some more framing lumber to make it

Starting My Heated Night Box(Suggestions Welcome)

Here are some updated pictures of it going together and starting to paint. The paint is hard to see since it's getting dark and it's a satin color. I think my dogs want one for themselves.

Starting My Heated Night Box(Suggestions Welcome)

Today I picked up almost everything to build a heated night box for my sulcata. I started the framing and expect to finish everything I can with the exception of what I'm waiting on to be delivered. It is going to be 4'lx4'wx2'h with an 18"hx12"w entrance at one end and the entire roof will be...

    Is this safe to eat?

I have a Sulcata and I have noticed these weeds popping up in my back yard in NE Florida. I just want to make sure they are safe for my tortoise to eat if it comes across one. I have looked on the tortoise table, but I'm not the best at decided which one it looks like the most haha.

    Pumpkin for Sulcata?

With it being the fall we have a few pumpkins now as decorations in front of our home. Would there be any problem with feeding some of the pumpkin to my sulcata or is it a special kind of pumpkin that they eat? I figure it would be a better way to get rid of the pumpkin instead of just throwing...
