I have done quite a lot of research into that. Most epoxy is labelled non toxic and food safe. I also discovered a lot of plastic looking cups are epoxy resin. Although I am currently testing before I put it anywhere near my torts
Hi, I have some experience with young redfoots. First of all I would advise moving the heat source towards the cool side as the tort might be too hot and want to move to the cool side and hide. Also the more coco fir the better. Redfoots required a high humidity around 80%. The coco fir is good...
I have been experimenting with clay to make water bowls for my torts as I like making my enclosures as natural as possible. Currently drying this one and going to epoxy once dry to waterproof. If anyone is interested in the process I can answer any questions ?
Just to add to this thread. If anybody needs a clear type of “glass” for their enclosure use acrylic. It’s durable and just as clear. The main this is that it lets threw uvb and all the good stuff ??
I wouldn’t be worried, not everyday is the same. As long as he is eating and drinking well. I wouldn’t worry at all. Although keep an eye on his behaviour and report if it changes dramatically

1. yes he does. Usually during his morning bath every few days. although it’s not covered I do soak very regularly threw out the day
2.yes a few times I have came home and he has been in his water bowl. He has no problem getting in and out
