I’m more worried about the red that’s showing, the red dot that looks like an actual wound (so I put a plaster over it so he doesn’t get dirt in it). Are there any creams I can put on? Or should I just monitor him?

Update: I’ve put a small plaster over the entire chip, so that he doesn’t get dirt in it at all. Is there any antibiotic I can put on?

Hi guys, I’ve just got back from uni and noticed that our tortoise has a chip at the back of his shell, above his back left leg. It looks red where the chip has occurred, and got kind of dirty - I’ve removed the dirt where I can but he’s an awful wriggler! Anything I can do?
