Does anyone know why they are known as the "Russian" steppe if they are from an area known as the Kazakh Steppe. I'm assuming this Is because its just below Russia???

Cheers guys, liking all these ideas especially the coat hanger 1 which I might try. I was thinking possibly build a little stone ramp up to the pot so Mo can eat the weeds and not tip the pot over, I cud perhaps change the pot each day to replenish the weeds if they were to get eaten right down?

Hello I have has my Russian for approx 3 weeks now and he does not seem to be that active. He will come out of his cave at approx 1030 in the morning, bathe then eat bathe some more and return to the cave about 1300. He is eating fine and I am bathing him 2-3 times a week. The light is on a...

Cheers guys, after reading your posts I have come to the conclusion it's a male due the tail being off to one side and very slight concave plastron at the rear, if I can get a better picture of the tail I will post this in due course. Thank you
