I have female 3 toed box. Here for the last week or so I have noticed that her right eye has been getting puffy and having trouble opening. I have soaked her regularly in a partial erythromycin soak for a week, Adjusted humidity levels, Changed the bedding, and have done the turtle eye drops...
I recently rescued a Asian box turtle/ Malayan box turtle from a rep expo. They had the poor thing in a completely terrestrial environment and they need at least a 50/50 aquatic and terrestrial setup. Well she eats very nicely and basks. However her shell is brittle and flaky. Not sure what the...
Going to try to build soon. Just haven't decided on the specifics yet. since we are short on space Im thinking I will do a shelves and multi level enclosures with flip proof Ramps to increase over all square footage.

This is a picture of the enclosure. One uvb/uva 100 watt heat combo on the warm side. Cypress mulch coco coir mix. Lots of fake plants to hide and dig under. And a pool to soak in. Temps in the high 80's

I guess my main concern is his inactivity. Is it possible I don't have it warm enough or too warm. Humidity levels etc. is this normal behavior or is there something I'm missing?
