Would a water feature like a waterfall be a hazard for a tortoise table....??? I was looking at the different selection online for reptile waterfalls and felt a little guilty that it might only really be for me and my entertainment more than my torts...hmm. Some of the cool reptile fountains that they stock on petmountain.com are very pretty to say the least, but I probably wouldn't want Artemis to climb up onto the top of it. So as usual I passed on ordering a small one. ?

Save your money. They want a terracotta dish they can walk into to eat off and another with water in it. Refresh water twice a day am and pm. They need space to walk around not filled with ornaments. They need a hide and substrate they can burrow in then they will be a happy tortoise.

I was considering making a bigger ceramic water tray, or garbage can lid water tray and putting one of these in the middle. Or setting the waterfall up in a corner... Anyone ever done anything like that before? I haven't gotten Artemis any new plants or rocks for her set-up in 3+ years now, and I would love to add something new to her/his table to give them some mental stimulation. I also clean up any new poops I spot in the water dish asap to keep everything clean already. But the ceramic water dish is leaking incessantly, so I need to replace it with a new one anyway soon. So I'm just curious!
If I was an irresponsible teen I probably would have already ordered the small skull reptile fountain that they carry.

A watertight dish is high priority as they must have water 24x7 to remain hydrated and be healthy they must be able to climb in and out safely. Please fix leaking dish asap. As mentioned skip waterfall. Light and heat are vital for smooth shell growth.

I tried this, waste of time. Your tortoise will have the water so dirty it'll clog up the pump daily.
