I did hear somewhere they only reach to be 3 years old, so I am trying not to neglect him with all else that is going on.
That’s why we had a “date day” on Saturday and I took these pictures.
He was being a kinda jerk because I wanted him to sit on the tippy top of my finger but he said no. ☹️
I did myself get busy for the weekend.
Don’t ask me what it was we did but I know it kept me from coming on here.
It is raining here too and the whole house is shaking from the thunder!
I can’t believe you had to turn your HEAT on in JULY?????
Well, it just goes to show you what I’ve been saying for years…
“Mother Nature is going through menopause herself”.

And finally I have a bit of stinky news.
I had planned to come on here tonight to tell you that tomorrow was FINALLY Sally’s doctors apt…
But before I got the chance …
AS I WAS HOLDING THE PHONE
the doctors office called to cancel AGAIN!
At 10:09PM!!!!!! ??‍♀️
Said the doctor “ called out sick”!….?
I am so BEYOND mad that I couldn’t even cry! No tears would run down my face!
Even my husband said I was Eerily quiet.
I still am….
I just don’t even have words ….
So I picked my self up from my boot straps at 12:21 am and decided to try the other doctor again (who had an apt for me on the 15th). I should have booked it then but I had already made this one for the 13th…
So I will call them back again tomorrow..

Before you ask, I already asked them … again… can’t ANYONE take an X-ray?
Again she told me (sternly) no it HAS to be an Exotic Vet. She went on to say, the ONLY way you could come get it done
(By I guess anyone)… was to bring Sally in AS AN “EMERGENCY”…
Just to let you know an “emergency” visit
STARTS at $289. That’s just for bringing her in!!
Not even looked at yet and it’s $300???
Are you nuts??
(Said in my grandmothers Scottish accent)..

No way!!!
If I felt this was an “emergency” believe me..
I would have been there already.
But this does mean a lot more tub time..
She IS pooping like a horse and eating like Godzilla but yet…. No more eggs….
Is it possible she only had 5 ?
A clutch is usually around 30….
Maybe they are not big enough to be ready yet?
This would all be answered if someone would GIVE ME AN X-RAY!

I'm very glad Sally does at least seem to be happier - now we just need for you to be happier too, and obviously that needs her Xray doing. I shall be thinking of you tomorrow and hoping for better news.
About Zola - the football was the Euro cup final between England and Italy - we obviously wanted England to win,but we do have a certain liking ofr the Italian team, which we have followed for many years - their best player ever was called Gian-Franco Zola - a really charming and likeable person, who probably had some indirect effect on
our little boy's name. He likes to watch football, but goes to sleep if it is boring. He also likes nature programmes, especially involving water -sea,rivers and ponds.He hates anything with flute music in it - doesn't mind bagpipes, you will be glad to know!

That's what they call them but they are snails. Their coil is on the inside. The ones here also have little horns. There are slugs here that are clear like jelly fish. That's what I always thought of as slugs. I even have a little book on them. I kinda got interested in them in Florida because of the Apple snails. I was told they are extinct but I found small shells that looked really fresh. Other shells that I found were much larger and looked a lot older and weather worn.?

I tried to update but couldn’t because of the servers. @Chefdenoel10 Hope you know that even if you don’t hear from us that we are still thinking about you and Sally…and cute lil Gary. I hope all is well. If I lived closer I’d ring that vets neck for you. I’m so sorry that happened. They honestly should be reported. Is the Better Business Bureau a thing in the US like it is in Canada? There must be some place where this can be reported or documented. It is horribly unacceptable how they’ve handled your situation on 2 occasions now. Reading your post about how they are treating you and Sally is anger inducing.

Edit: I was so angry I forgot to say, that at this point even if they did make time for Sally, I wouldn’t trust those clowns now anyhow. I hope this is all a blessing in disguise and that you’re able to get into the other place you mentioned.

I have made an apt. For Friday the 16th for a different doctor.
The other one called me back and said he wouldn’t see me till next Tuesday. That’s way too long for my insanity to last. The secretary went on to say if you can’t wait because it’s turning into an emergency to go way over to new York city to see a certain vet. Or go over an hour and a half drive to the shore points for a different doctor. I mean I think they’re all nuts.?!?
I am to the point that I just want to see if there are more eggs?
If NOT, then why does she not want out of this tub???
I just can’t figure it out????
Could it be summer?
I just can’t put my fat finger on the problem??

She is :
Eating better
Peeing better
Sleeping fine
Pooping like champ….
So …. What? What could it be??

I don't know if you're in the same boat as me at all. My phone's been acting up anyway. And when I couldn't run my mouth on TFO I got worried. Even after I found out this morning that I could get back on which I figured I could anyway. I wasn't about to get shut up by a phone that just dies. Lose all my contacts again and all that. So I have a new moto ? and I just found the list of apps that I can uninstall and Facebook was on it ????✨?

On the left is Zola at about 2, and on the right he is about 3. The big one was taken a couple of years ago by the harbour in Fowey, in Cornwall. The relative sizes are not accurate, but you get the idea ! It makes me smile, and I hope it will do so for you too.

Not because of what the doctor will say but because it will be 93 degrees out at 3pm and the humidity will be so bad they say it would choke a horse ?!
Oh… well… no way am I canceling my appointment!! Took me THIS long to get .
I promise at one point after the doctors to come on here and give the out come and hopefully show the xrays? As I trust you guys to tell me what you see in the pictures more than I trust the doctors now a-days.

One is very nice but very fast, she is pushing you out the door before your questions have ALL been answered.?
But she is good.
The Second one, The Famous “Dr. Boren”
Whom is never around when I have a problem…?
And the third is an hour and a half away!
She is MY choice but who wants to drive a
130lb pregnant Sulcata an hour and a half away in 105 degree weather with a humidity of like 1000%????? ?
I KNOW you know what I mean because California right now makes NJ feel like the North Pole!!!
Sorry to complain about the heat…
I’ll shut my mouth before your sweaty foot goes in it. ?

As I now come to a close on this thread;it just breaks my heart.
But I have great news to Finnish off the
“Days of Sally’s Lives”—
Ok…so…I’ve just walked in from the doctors amd here is what we found out..

1)- she DOES have more eggs —12 to be exact. Perfect shapes but not in the butt tube ready to come out yet. They are also beautifully calcified!! She said I need to add calcium powder to her food again?
But if she is eating dark leafy greens and GRASS do I still have to add it?
Opinions please??
2)- THERE ARE NO BLADDER STONES! ? Thank the LORD JESUS!!! ?
3)- her stomach has a little gas in it.
(When does a Sulcata NOT have gas?)
She just ate grass before we went too!
4)- we have ? to get a reading on in two days . Worse case sinario, I can handle worms (now)… I have two different food powders for gut cleaning)

5)- she is liking the tub because with eggs she feels that’s keeping her hydrated enough so she doesn’t get dry and eggs won’t come out?

6)- said her weight went UP to 130lbs?

She has already laid 33 eggs
And her diet is mostly grass with a few collards, chicory, dandelion, and such mixed in????
THERE IS NO WAY SHE IS 130lbs…
(She FEELS like 130lbs DEAD WEIGHT,I agree)….but she is not 130lbs.
They also weighed her in her carrying box ? duh….
She is probably now I’d say around 80-90lbs
Which is what Tom says “girl Sulcata “ should be! …
ok…. MMMAAAYYYBE…..
She is like 100lbs?
And that’s my story..
