Refresh our memory, what kind of tort?

We have veggies growing in a raised garden bed that looks just like your tort enclosure. We got the one without the bottom shelf as we have it sitting in one of yhr leopards yard and didnt want him climbing on it.

You probably know, but going to remind you anyway. Nice warm soak when you first get him/her.

What kind of wood is that raised garden bed made from? It looks like cedar which is toxic for tortoises. Cedar is a popular wood used for these as it holds up with the elements well, but for our purposes it’s not good. Just want to make sure your baby won’t be harmed if you weren’t aware of the toxicity of cedar.

It's fir wood. I lined the entire inside to make it waterproof so there is no access to the wood.

Screen filters out the UVB rays. You can replace the screen with something like chicken wire or hardware cloth. I don't like those double dome fixtures. I'd rather have each light individual so they can be turned on or off individually and moved apart as needed.

Funny you said that, I was looking at garden wire yesterday at home depot. To replace the screen with that.
