Can you convert a regular humidifier into a reptile fogger?

I’m trying to save money and all of the fogger are so expensive. I was just going to get a used humidifier and concert it if that was possible. If so how?

Tortoises really shouldn't be breathing in a lot of water vapor...deeply wetting the substrate, especially under heat bulbs, will produce a more effective (and safer) (and cheaper) humidity.

So foggers are bad for them? He’s in a tortoise table. I’m still a little new to this

The answer is yes ...BUT.

You need to have a controller of some sort to turn it on and off as needed so the humidifier needs to turn on automatically when power is applied. Some of the fancier electronic stuff doesn't. Other than that, it's just a matter of finding a suitable hose to direct the fog.

I'll save you a ton of money! Don't use a fogger. They shouldn't be used over tortoises.

Tortoise tables are not suitable housing for sulcatas. The correct temperatures and humidity cannot be maintained. You need a large closed chamber. Here is the correct care info:

I don't like foggers because they add cool, moist air and might make the tortoise sick (the cool part). You want WARM moist air. I achieve this by covering the enclosure and using either a CHE (ceramic heat emitter) or a RHP (radiant heat panel). I also pour a whole pitcherful of water over the substrate and stir it up with my hand, adding more as needed.
