Looks very close to a crocus. A bulb plant for sure.

It’s not the flowers that are problematic, it’s the bulbs. @Dbrocato2 my Russian is nuts for flowers off our iris—another bulb plant— but has no interest in the rest of it. We do have an older post of a sulcata getting a bad rash from eating tulip bulbs but that’s the only problem I’ve ever read about here.

That’s not to say you should feed it, just that if your tortoise gets at a few flowers it’s not something to panic about.

100% crocus.

Here’s a picture of our first blooming crocus (100% ID) of the year..

From The Tortoise Table

Common Name: Crocus
Latin Name: Crocus spp.
Family Name: Iridaceae
All parts of the Crocus (including the corms) are toxic in varying degrees and should be avoided. The true Crocus (Crocus spp.) can cause stomach upset and vomiting, while the Autumn Crocus (Colchicum autumnale) is highly toxic and should be avoided at all costs. See Autumn Crocus.

N.B. The true Crocus has 3 stamens and 1 style with 3 stigmas, whereas Colchicum autumnale has 6 stamens and 3 styles.

Guess they have to stay where they are and just look purdy

I feel your pain. Both my father and step father smoked my whole life. Absolutely disgusting, self-destructive, wastefully expensive, and makes no sense what-so-ever.
Completely agree on that!
