When I researched Minerall it said it’s phosphorus free. As for frequency...hard to say. I don’t supp at all in the summer and only once every two weeks in the winter. But our outdoor environments are different. If husbandry is correct...diet and lighting...but mostly indoor lighting...I would always err on the side of caution. I’d ask experienced fellow keepers in Sweden or like “season” like keepers. For me not living there it were purely be a guess that could be totally incorrect
Oh really? maybe you researched a different kind or i might be wrong. The one i ordered is miner-all indoors.

This is what I researched...maybe I got the wrong product. But I think most supp manufacturers know now about the phos/cal ratio issue and have addressed it

And as I said previously,:

Calcium - stick your thumb and index finger into the jar and pick up a very small amount, "a pinch" - between your thumb and index finger, twice a week.

Nutrobal - no need to use this AND the calcium. One or the other. "Nutrobal - A CALCIUM BALANCER AND MULTIVITAMIN SUPPLEMENT" Instead, use liquid bird vitamins, two drops, in the soaking water once a week.

When the Miner-All comes you add a "pinch" to the food once a week
What are some bird vitamins you would recomend?

It's just that I've always used liquid bird vitamins. I suppose Flukers for reptiles would be just as good.

I would use bird vitamins too. It's funny. I just wanted to share this one that smells so delicious I have to fight me so I won't take it. It's for my tort case closed. Then I lost the bottle and only the good Lord helped me find it. It has these things in it.16142135186838383373254298646391.jpg16142135186838383373254298646391.jpg

Also it doesn't matter to me which one I use as long as it has his needs in the winter. ?

You're right. If you're going to use Miner-All for the extra minerals it provides you can stop the calcium. Just like with Nutrobal, one or the other but no need for both. Thanks for calling me on that.
Sorry i have gotten a bit confused i am still not completely certain about how much to supplement. Should i not be using both miner-all and calcium? Wont he get to much d3 if i only use miner-all and the bird vitamins? Would'nt calcium twice a week, miner-all once a week and bird vitamins once a week work the best since then he will get d3 once a week, so not to much, Also that should lead to a good phospate/calcium ratio right. Please correct me if i am wrong :) Maybe we were talking about different miner-alls but the one i use contains d3 so thats why i am wondering.

Its my opinion you are overthinking this. If the diet is varied and correct...with proper lighting and heat I think a pinch of calcium with d3 or Minerall once a week should be more than enough. To me...supping is more a added safeguard for peace of mind and not to be used as compensation for possible incorrect husbandry aspects. A good pelleted food such as Zoomed should fill dietary gaps and is formulated in correct vitamin/mineral ratios...without worrying about over supping certain vitamins

Yes but the thing is the diet is not super god right now becuse of climate and a big majority of it is grocery store stuff so he's not getting enough nutrients from it so thats why i am a bit obbsessed with the supplementing.

Again...this is why a good pelleted diet is important. Zoomed makes up about 30-35% of our torts diets. This my be a higher ratio than some feed...but I don’t sup at all. And remember torts in the wild have low nutrient foods...store bought foods have good amounts of nutrients.

Yes i do have some mazuri that i have fed but i should start giving it more often. But i still feel like he would need some more supplementation than just once a week since when he got even more than that amount he strted eating rocks which means to little minerals. I think i am goint to go with calcium twice a week, miner-all once a week and bird vitamins once a week but i wanted to get some conformation if that would be okay. Since you seem to know what you're talking abut do you think this amount would be any good even if it's more than you personally recomend.

Some supp more and I don’t think twice a week would be a problem...as long as you follow what Yvonne said about applying supps in pinches. Mazuri is used by many with good results. I personally don’t use it because it uses cane molasses for a feeding response...and I prefer my torts eat “what I put in front of them”. However I was given a half full bag of Mazuri which I feed on occasion to our box turtles.
And here is something for you to think about. I, too have the same problem because of where I live that my torts can only be outside 6 months out of the year. Winter reduces parts of their summer diet...grass, weeds, cactus and hibiscus. Even though it’s not really an issue...I’ve taken steps to add more summer items to their winter diet by growing hibiscus (dwarf rose of Sharon), opuntia cactus (different varieties ) and a banana palm for leaves...indoors. It’s not as optimum as growing conditions outside...in summer...but it is working. My goal is to grow most of my own food for the animals regardless of season. It’s a learning experience...and a challenge at times...but I’m enjoying it

Yea i will go with what yvonne said, calcium twice a week, miner-all once a week and bird vitamins once a week and will make sure to only give it in pinches. And also i to grow my own weeds during the winter but i was a bit underprepered this winter and did not grow as much as i wanted to, but i will next winter
