Sometimes foamy eyes means the tortoise got too hot, but then again, sometimes it's normal. You be the detective and look at the big picture.

Yortie tortie with his friend Ripley. In a 45” pool. Not sure of his exact age but guessing around 12 years. 130+ lbs. View attachment 319517

Ok ... so ... I just finished reading your other thread and once again I am sorry for jumping to conclusions. It’s just that your tortoise is gorgeous and I wanted very much for him to stay that way.
I have had some problems with mine so I was quick to judge. My apologies.
Now on to your posts....
You never did write the post about how to
Barricade the yard because of what these guys can do!! I am sooooo interested!!!!
You are already teaching me lots of NEW things and I would like you to continue.
Pleeeeease????

He is a really good looking Sulcata. Very nice. I'd say he's 140 lbs. You can generally find a feed store with a scale. An older feed store in some states has a scale in ground, he'd just walk on. See if you can find some place like that. I'm interested in his weight. Has he flashed you? if not, how do you know he's a male?

Recently there has been some requests..."Let's see your Greeks, or Redfoots or other. But there never is a "lets see your Sulcata". I think it's because they are so popular and have so many topics with many photos all ready. So here it is...

Let's see your Sulcata who's over 10 years old...
and that leaves me out...who's first?

Here is Dudley. He belongs to my sister...he's old as heck... his gular amaze me...and his fore legs are bigger than my arms. He is massive and likes to chase me...and I run fast
