I have a 3-4 year old Hermann Tortoise. I think it is a Male but not sure. I am worried because his urine in the bath looked a lot more yellow than usual. I could not take a photo because my phone was dead but the color looks like #ded312. If you just type that into google it will show you the color. I do not know if it is possible for them to pee without passing urates but I did not see any urates. He is eating fine. His pee used to be green but then I found out that I had the wrong UVB and his urine got normal. I feed him mazuri pellets twice a week. I also feed him Kale, dandelion greens, arugula, radicchio, and bok choy. He has been hiding a little bit more but I think that may be cause I just got him a new log and he is hiding under that. I would say he is hiding for about 45 minutes to 2 hours a day. He does take some naps but when he is awake he seems pretty active. I just want to know if it is okay. Any responses are much appreciated.

Update: I am pretty sure that he just passed urates, They did look pretty yellow but there was some white too.

Urine color can vary a lot with what they eat and their hydration level.

Ok thank you. I give him 2-3 baths a week. I used to do it daily because he had the wrong UVB light and someone said it helped to give them baths but I just stopped. Maybe that is why.

There, you answered it. Warm soaks will not harm your tort & may help.
