So for some background info, "he's" fairly young (almost 2 months old) and we're just worried about him and want him to be happy and healthy.
We adopted him towards the end of August, and the day we brought him home he seemed quite inquisitive and energic and he ate all of his food enthusiastically, so we were really happy about it because he seemed healthy and happy.

Of course, we do know that reeves may be a bit shy, so when he started hiding in his "cave" (a cloth stuck between rocks for him to lie on and hide in) we didn't worry too much about it. However, we can't help but notice that he's spending most of his time there, and seems to sleep a lot. He responds if we poke him or offer him food, but he doesn't seem to wanna move too much around at a time.
1.) We're not sure if this is him being shy/getting settled in his tank, or if this is lethargy as he may seem sleepy a lot?

Today when feeding him in his food container, I noticed him having bubbles out of his nose. I did take note of this, but hoped it was just air bubbles as they weren't too big, but later on when I checked on him again in his tank, I saw his nose had bubbles yet again. I did manage to snatch a photo of this, and will attach it to this post!
2.) Does this look like a respiratory infection, or regular air bubbles...? What should I look out for to determine more efficiently?

Overall, he hasn't been showing any other symptoms that I could see, such as lopsided swimming or gaping mouth/breathing problems and his appetite is really good, but I am just concerned about him and want to make sure he's doing OK. I figured I'd rather be safe than sorry.... Hence, why I am reaching out to more experienced turtle keepers in hopes of some clarity on the situation!

(For now we've decided to try bumping up his water temperature, after reading some other posts, to see how he reacts to it)

does he have any other places to hide? maybe stack some rocks or buy a hiding place for turtles..? i don't have any aquatic turtles so i might not be super helpful, you should probably get rid of the cloth tho.

He does have bigger rocks and plants spread around as well, he just seems to have taken a liking to the cloth haha

UPDATE; after bumping up his water temperature he seems to move around a bit more. He's also been basking more. So he will go bask, jump back in for a swim, and then goes back up to bask again after a while. Is this a good sign? Could it be possible that he didn't like the previous water temperature? Has been monitoring him closely and he does not appear to have any nose bubbles outside of the water. I hope the ones I saw underwater were just air bubbles........?
