He’s probably just getting settled in. You need a water dish at all times, if it’s a hatchling soak 30-45 minutes a day. The water dish needs to be big enough to soak in. I would recommend a terra cotta saucer.

Oh ok. Thanks a lot. I still have to arrange a bigger place for him to live in(i'm thinking about a big tub). And about the water dish, yeah i'll do that too. Fortunately he did eat yesterday and today aswell. Thanks for your advice again. Also how much shall i feed him per day(like i feed him 1 lettuce leaf which is preety big) and what things can i feed him coz i did try to give him tomatoes the other day but he didnt show any intrests at all.

also does your tortoise sleep a lot? coz my tortoise seems to sleep all day

Yes they sleep 20+ hrs. a day. From my experience they may sleep even more if conditions aren't right and take months to adjust to a new environment. Most problems in a tortoises life are solved by sleeping/waiting it out.

Predators -> Can't run away to defend so best way to avoid is find a hiding spot and stay still
Food -> Not enough or the right type of food? Wait it out while it regrows
Temp/Climate -> Wait it out.. hours, days or weeks

Only hatchlings will sleep 20+ hours a day. Adults are much more active, they will sleep a lot for your reasons and if they are stressed, if the enclosure is too small, and if they are new to the surroundings.
