Haha yes pumpkin sure loves her food. When I walk past her enclosure she will follow me from one end to the other. Then will wait till I walk back. So I open her enclosure and give her a little scratch under her chin. She pops her head out as far as she can. I’m guessing this is so I hit the right spot ?.
She will then toddle off to her slate plate and carry on munching dandelions and other greens before going to her Hide.
Yes, it is pretty funny my torts love food so much. I love rubbing their little chins! ?

As well, contrary to the comment above, Toby doesn't have an awesome appetite. So.. its very rare that he seeks out food, (like, the odd time he approaches me, he wants a blueberry but most of the time, I am cajoling him to eat). although his weight is great- he has an annual physical... ). So, he definitely isn't approaching me several times a day for food ... I know his behaviour is very unusual, but I'm just giving the facts, from which I conclude that he has (somehow) been able to establish a bond. Sigh... I know I will be chastised for allowing my turtle to roam my house... albeit, I've had him for almost a decade, he is extremely healthy, and happy turtle and has annual physicals, etc. So... maybe I'm lucky, or maybe I'm doing something right. I would do anything for the little guy, and I guess he knows it.

England,
I’m not going to start the lecture about how it’s dangerous to let a tort run freely in the house but humans feed him, so he asks all humans for food.
I won’t allow pumpkin to roam the house. I know it’s not suitable. She’s either in her enclosure or in her run outside. I don’t leave her alone outside. I stay with her. I let her have about half hour to an hour to graze. Then I pick her up gently and pop her back in her enclosure.

I’m sorry if I‘ve appeared rude but I just want all torts and turtles to be happy and healthy. Maybe your little guy is just wanting fresh food all day. Try giving him fresh meals 3-4 times, that might encourage him to eat. Feed feed feed is my advice. Let’s just leave it at that. Maybe he has a bond with you and maybe he doesn’t have one. We aren’t going to convince each other either way. Best wishes for you and your turtle.

What are those biscuits you're feeding them? Can they be bought in fairly small quantity? Thank you
It's the original Mazuri. You can usually get it repackaged on eBay and maybe Amazon. If you have a hard time finding any shoot me a message, I've got plenty to spare.

Thanks for answering. The only Mazuri I've seen is the stuff I tried with tiny rabbit pellet size pellets and none of my toroises want anything to do with it even after soaking. Yours looks like something much bigger. Also what is the designation on the package for yours? And do you know the protein content?
