I think it’s perhaps for hamsters and gopher pigs. That doesn’t mean it has no value for tortoises, does it?

Seems a little high in protein for regular rotation there are some good tortoise plants in there and what seems a good amount of fiber.

I’m not a Wal*Mart shopper but it does nicer than I’d expect. Not everyone is lucky enough to know about places like Will’s, you know? Seem’s like a decent mix in for those who can’t get more than grocery store foods.

It’s for guinea pigs, rabbits, and other low protein, high fiber eaters. Just thought it was interesting that they sell essentially dried weeds and “treats” as well as the usual junk pellets. Who knows? Might find a tortoise mix on shelves. If given enough time. For $3, it’s not a bad deal.

$3.00 doesnt seem too bad. I get all of my cuttlefish bones there - just need to check them since some are ridiculously small!

I occasionally picked this up for my old guinea pig. It used to be on par with Sun Salad, but I think it may have changed. A lot of these dried herb mixes do fluctuate with the seasons, but I probably won’t be buying this brand ever again.

Since my tort doesn’t do dry fiber, I’ll sometimes rehydrate and add a bit of these mixes to his Mazuri. My (and the tortoise’s) favorite is the dried dandelion mix on Chewy and the omnivore mixes sold for bearded dragons. No joke, my guinea pig goes crazy for the T-Rex bearded dragon gourmet.

I'm biased to the organics. I don't think the protein is too high for tortoises. There seem to be some weird ingredients, 'puffed wheat' and others. I'm all for variety but I don't go for the topper implementation of a blend of stuff.

It has wheat and oats in it. I was told grains should not be fed to torts.

This isn't aimed at torts. It's aimed at Guinea Pig and rabbit owners. I just took a pic because it's a lot of dried weeds. How difficult would it be for the company to adapt it for Tortoise owners?

Besides, looking at the contents in person, very little of it is puffed grains. Most of it is dried weeds. It'd be easy to pick out the wrong stuff.
Overall, It's a good deal for pet-parents who don't have access to fresh weeds. Yes, we have some people who sell similar product here, but not everyone orders online. Almost everyone has a Walmart nearby.
