I love to have a sulcata, but living in Michigan, and not having the means or money to build an encloser, that they need, to live outside here, it wouldn't be fair, I always be keeping it in a room in my house, and they deserve better living conditions then I can afford to provide right now, so I can't have one, because I know better,
But if I ever become rich you bet I build an full size encloser in my basement, with outdoors area for summer, lol

i admire people like you fr, you care about the well being of the tortoise and not just for the sake of you having one. also do you own any tortoises?

But what really got me , and why I know better is because before I got my girl, we went to a rescue zoo in brick run, and there's a reptile guy who place all his rescue there in the summer, he has everything, from turtles snake algaters, to every type of tortoise, all rescues, and when I see the very large tortoises, I thought I will not be, I can't be that person who gets one of them and can't take care of it, so I found out that redfoots are a good size for me, and have good interaction with there owners, she's about the perfect size, when full grown, large but not huge, I can definitely house one of her size, and afford to take care of her needs, so I got my redfoot

That would be cool, me I just love tortoises, I may add a box turtle, in the future, but I need to add on to my redfoots encloser first before adding more,

Yep, I am actually posting on the other thread as we speak, but baths every day, and good diet, and humidity with these guys, but redfoots are amazing , they have super personally, and are very interactive, mine loved to be sang to she always has, and don't feed her her favorite food ever day, they can be brats when they don't get it, I made this mistake, she's over it now but, she was a brat about it, lol

And don't worry to much you will do great, read all the information on the forum, it's the best out there, believe me I read most information on the web, and most is lacking or not correct, I found this place to be the best and most helpful owners out there, everyone is so willing to help, I wish I found this forum years ago,

Sometimes. I get lost in the forum how it’s being read but see I did not know bathes every day but I have been rinsing him off and taking her out but as you know I’m still missing things it’s day 4 of having him. I need a tub, hygrometer and the top to keep humidity which I’m going to create like you told me. Just don’t want to catch house on file lol

you need a good hygometer, and the cover, but a fancy tub isn't, if you're dollor stores are open, just buy a plastic long storage container, I can't use this anymore, only because mines and 12 inch's long and pretty wide now, but I used one of these for years, it's cost effective, and it doesn't need to be fancy at all, I now use a rubber made sink pan , because there alot bigger, but I only got this because it is all I could find that fit in my sink and was big enough
