I wish I had more photos of him but he's difficult to photograph. The moment he sees me in "his" yard, he charges me. He bruised my ankle so badly last week, I fell to the ground crying in pain. We all joke about changing his name to Bruiser. So, any photos I try to take are close ups of his nose as he is quickly approaching and following me. I recently constructed a tort free zone on my patio. Best thing since my turtle time out pen at another property! 2x12s along the perimeter! I can let my guard down there and watch him try and rip through the barrier to get to me. I know he can't get through but that doesn't stop him from trying the whole time I'm there!
It's crazy how territorial he is in the yard. But people love seeing him active when they come over. He isn't as bent on ramming their ankles, although he will if they dont keep moving or fail to provide a lettuce offering. It works out for our shows though. He does great traveling and isn't ever shy at any of the new locations. And that's important to me.

Got a quick photo of him the other day. He was mowing the grass... lol... and I snuck up to him. But he saw me, stopped eating and paced the barrier trying to get me.

What a brat. Does he not realize you are the food goddess?

That's just it.....I'm really not the food god. He feeds himself eating the grass and weeds that grow in his yard. The only time he's "fed" is during a show. Kids hold lettuce leaves for him to munch on while we talk about him. So, technically I am just a daily intruder.

A few days ago my kids and I were laying on a blanket in the yard. BUT it was still early so Levi hadn't left his tort house yet. Just as I let my guard down, I look over to see he had come out amd was right by my 11 year old's face. Luckily, he didn't ram into my son's head. But I capitalized on the moment and snapped a few pictures.

My second leopard Billy, the one I rescued, will charge at me. But once he gets too me he stops. Then he will finish charging at me but only ever walks over my feet or through my legs. Never has tried to ram me.
Levi sounds like a sulcata more then a leopard lol, bull dozer.
