Put together a new pond for the turtles today. I still want to build a frame around the outside and add plants but it's up and running. My hatchlings have grown enough to live with my juveniles now so I've introduced everyone together. I know nothing about turtles or keeping them in water, how do you keep the water clean? Is there a huge filter? I found it hard enough keeping a fish tank clean [emoji51]
You definitely need some good filtration for turtles, they're really messy. I'm running two canister filters on this that filter 350 gallons per hour each.

I really like it, great idea to use one of those pools. I wish I had the space to dabble with water turtles.
I had thought about it before but decided to go ahead with it after seeing @ZEROPILOT thread about making fish ponds with them.

I didn't invent that idea.
I saw others do it on YOUTUBE first.
I'm very pleased with mine, too.
