I bought a tortoise table enclosure from Wayfair and it’s made of some cedar. It smells great, but I worry about it being toxic to my red footed tortoise. Is there any danger of poisoning my tortoise by accident because of this?

No cedar has oils that will leach into the substrate and can be nibbles on. If you can’t return it use it to grow plants. A 55 gallon tote is so much better and safer

Cedar emits toxic fumes. This is why it repels insects and is used to line closets and chests.

Also, tables are no good for tropical tortoises that need warm temps and high humidity. You need a closed chamber for a redfoot.

Finally, wood is no good for a tortoise that needs dampness and high humidity. It won't last.
