It looks like a wood turtle. I'm not 100% sure though.!!!!View attachment 286610View attachment 286611I need help. This turtle was my uncle’s, but he passed away and now no one knows what kind of turtle this is. I know care varies depending on the kind of turtle, so I really need to know. What I know is that he needs some kind of salt in his water, and he has 11 scutes on his belly.
I meant to say it looks like a mud turtle!!!, sorry I barely noticed I typed the wrong thing.?.... I'm not sure tho. The Shell looks like a mud turtle shell.... i just dont kno what subspecies it is.It looks like a wood turtle. I'm not 100% sure though.!!!!
You're all wrong. No prize for you! That's a mud/musk turtle! It's a fresh water turtle, and doesn't need salt in his aquarium.

All I knew was it was a turtle of some kind. S/he can go home and close up for the night.I am never freaking right unless it's Sulcata! It looks like an African Roof turtle?
NO! Eastern Mud Turtles are strictly fresh water turtles.Aren’t they in brackish water ?
Ummm...I don't think so...pretty sure they're fully fresh water, too. But I could be wrong- I don't happen to have red eared sliders.Sorry I was mixing up with red eared slider ??
You are VERY kind, TammyJ!!! ✨Stick with Moozillion for care and best keeping this adorable turtle!!! She KNOWS.
