Does anyone know if a yearling sulcata tortoise can eat a normal cactus pad, meaning if they can eat it with the spines. I know some owners feed normal pads instead of spineless but is it because they are older tortoises. Any advice

Yes they can.
And yes they do.
But I'm also one that removes the spines before feeding cactus.
It is however, totally un neccessary. They do not need the spines (glochids) removed
