So only the foot cream for 10 days and then let it heal? Or continue with the foot cream untill it is gone? Turt has some small spots on his plastron. I have been treating it for 10 days now.

Thank you...

I'm sure it's dead by now.
Just inspect the area once a week and make sure it looks like it's going away.
I only treat about every 2 or 3 days for maybe two treatments.
It works for me. Keep in mind that you can NOT overdose. So if you feel better slathering it on more often, go right ahead.

Thank you very much @ZEROPILOT !!

Turt doesn't like it all that much, being on his back while applying the cream. So I let it rest. It looks better. I will just check on it during bath time.
Turt is my Elongata. I was soaking him every other day lately. Cause he is one year old now. But now I am back to every day and less wet substrate.

You'd probably need more information. Like is it kept indoors, your details, etc.
And maybe start a new post asking about Elongated care.

That is ok, I was just sharing that information. I tend to do that. Give to much information. When I can just say it simple. Lol

I know a lot about the care of my species. Gathered on the forum and elsewhere. Just wasn't sure about the foot cream.
So again thank you...

Athletes foot cream or neosporin work well. Must be kept dry.
Neosporin or any other antibiotic can be useful initially. But do not use it again. Because it will actually slow down the regrowth.
(Just as the very first treatment. If ever.)
However, something such as Neosporin would be very useful if your fungus has graduated into a more advanced shell "rot".
In true shell rot. The antifungal cream will not be effective because it is no longer fungal and is a bacterial issue.
Shell rot is a very advanced form and is pretty rare. Thankfully.
If you believe that you may have actual rot....Rotting, smelly and crumbling carapace...Take photos and make a new post so that you can get help quickly.
Shell fungus is more of a cosmetic minor occurrence. Easily treated.
Shell rot is a serious and potentially deadly issue that is not easy to deal with. And must be stopped immediately.
They may both start off as shell fungus. But then become two very different things.

New to the forum! I just got a baby Redfoot this past weekend and I was observing his shell and plastron and I noticed some white stuff on it. It could be fungus? The indoor enclosure keeps humidity in and it’s between 80-90%, sometimes 93! Is there such a thing as too humid for a Redfoot enclosure? Temperature varies between 80-86. I just want to make sure he is comfortable. No mold on his substrate, I spray it 1-2 times a day. His substrate is a mix of coco coir and cypress mulch packed down and orchid bark on top. He loves burrowing! He gets a soak every morning. Any advice? Should I be concerned? D2723CDE-10D1-40C5-8982-804573FE7734.jpeg

That does look like fungus has started in a few areas.
Smear some Athlete's foot cream on the spots once a day for a week. Maybe 10 days. Itll be gone.
Do you have a closed chamber or an open topped enclosure?
And no. It actually can't be too humid. But it can be too wet.

It’s mostly closed with foil, humidity does not dip below 80%. Any certain brand I should use? Thanks!
I use the dollar store type.
I've never found an anti fungal cream that didn't work.
Spend $1 or $12. It's going to work.
