I read that cherries were one of the tortoise species that “tolerates fruit”. Our cherry, Bing, loves fruit above most anything else - blueberries, watermelon, cantaloupe - we feed him a mix a fruit and veg (including dandelions and other edible weeds) every day plus monkey chow every two weeks. We’ve tried some of the prepared food/pellets from our LFS but he’s not interested. I’d say 50% of his diet (8 years now) is made up of fresh fruit. Is this too much?
