He has shown zero interest in eating the moss. Only the greens and grasses. He is pooping and peeing normally. But I’ll keep an eye out for it.

I have a one year old Sulcata. Spencer Reid. So far no digging. He loves his hide though! He loves the coolness of the orchid Moss I keep in there.
Um, "Spencer Reid"...do you by any chance like Criminal Minds?

Is your baby a good profiler? I have always thought that if my dogs don't like an individual, I probably don't want much to do with that person either. My dogs are pretty good judges of character.

Now Chug, he mostly doesn't like anybody. I doubt his opinion would be very valuable.

When I was seven, I would often leave my russian tortoise outside in a large metal pen. But every time, she got out! she would dig under, make holes, move the whole enclosure, and twist wire to get out, and as soon I noticed she was gone,I would have to search through our bushes for about an hour to find her. Sometimes I wouldn't find her, and she would come out for food a day or sometimes even three days after. Since then, I decided to make a more permanent enclosure

Little torts are notorious for doing that, I’ve got a 5 year old that doesn’t bury herself, she makes a little ditch in the soil.

My little guy digs ditches too! I would get home from work and the substrate would be all dug up so I would always pat it all down again. I thought my son was doing it, then I was watching him on my tortie cam one day and saw him hard at work digging the ditch that leads into his hide so I had to apologize to him for ruining all that excavating he was doing ?
