Can someone please post some pictures and descriptions of these tortoises? Is the tail really "flat"? I am curious as I don't know what they look like.

Trying to find some pictures. Anyway I found out that they are from a small area of Western Madagascar and critically endangered. They are often found around tombs in forested areas! Known locally as "ghost turtle" for that reason.

I do not have any photos- but the planicauda I’ve had experience with actually do have a flat tail. They just sat there for 11 months out of the year, almost never moved. Then for 1 month they were all active and moving around.

Todderickfl1's picture is that of what appears a few month old baby. Kingsley's are adults.
Thank you! I looked at them again and thought that might be the answer.
