My mom found this stuff, and I'm guessing she wants to have it for my Sulcata (it was next to his cage) and I'm wondering if he can even eat it. It has bits that I can only describe as whiter pops cereal. If you see any ingredients that he can't eat, can you tell me so I can try to pick it out. I know I'm going to end up giving him the dandelions, because they were his favorite food as a baby.

I am also curious about Timothy hay. I've been trying to get him on a grass diet (I haven't been a good owner :( ) I'm trying to get him on Bermuda grass in my backyard and I'm wondering if I can add Timothy hay to his diet. If not I'll just use it as bedding, because I know he likes it.

Hello
I found this item today at Walmart and wanted to try it with my hatchling Russian tortoise. Did you happen to hear back from anyone or find out anymore information regarding this item feeding to tortoises?

No, I didn't. When I was able to get him to try it, he would just spit it out because it was so dry. Even if I mixed it with good food, he would refuse it. I found that he loves to get Pretty Bird Pretty Pellets as a treat, so that might be more favorable for your tort.

I've also asked about the pellets on here, and they've said that they are okay every now and then, same amount as mazuri pellets. But, that's for a Sulcata, I don't know much about Russian diets

This item contains peppermint that's not good for tortoises. I wouldn't feed them this.

Huh, I think I heard that it was okay, but whatever. He's never consumed the mix (not even the dandelion flowers), and it wasn't even on the list of foods that I would give him. Of course, I would've looked it up beforehand, if that's all I had for some odd reason.

Thank you

I found it at Wal-Mart also and I was excited until I saw that it had peppermint. Regular mint is okay.
