You need to give more information on issues you are having. If I recall correctly, you've had a lot of issues with your tort over the past few months? What is causing you to think it has hfs?

The last few months he has been great! Its this last week that has me worried. The bottom of his shell is soft and he hasnt really been eating or opening his eyes. He doesnt move around much anymore. All my tempatures are correct along with the humidity. I believe this stemmed from the breeder i purchased him from. How should I go ablut treating this?

What are your four temps, basking, warm side, cool side, and night temps? What kind of tort do you have? Can we see a picture of your enclosure.

If his kidneys were damaged by overly dry conditions at the breeder or seller's place, then what you are doing is all that can be done. Offer the best conditions and hydration you can. Some of them make it and some don't.

Im worried about over soaking him tom. He only becomes active and eats after a long soak. I find myself doing it like 4 times a day.. Is this bad

No! There is no such thing as too much soaking. Soak as much as physically possible. Your soaking schedule sounds super beneficial!

My soaking is purely just to keep him alive. I havent been able to sleep a solid nights since I found out he most likely has HFS. I wake up in the middle of the night tossing and turning so now I just soak him when I cant sleep. Can I get IV fluids in him? Ill pay thousands of $$$, just as long as Galileo lives..

Sadly, if he’s too far gone, no amount of vet bills will help. But if your tort is still eating, even if it’s just after soaking, there’s still lots of hope.

He is finally eating his Mazuri again Well nibbling but its something. I turned. Into giant pile of mash and layed at on the end of a giant plastic rectangle lid. Then I layed soaking wet paper towel all around the lid and fill it with warm water and set it under basking light on the hot side. Now he lays there soaking and eating. This morning he finally quinted his eyes. Usually they are glued shut before soaking.

That’s great! Keep with that routine, and if it works, it might be a revolutionary hfs “cure” for some people.

I can tell you a little story from my smallest sulcata "Shari". She is from a breeder that starts his babies not totally dry ( but not humid enough ) and only feeds dry hay from the day they hatch!! No greens.
When I got my little tort she was already pyramided and to small for her age, but over 90 gr. and eating.
I gave her a really wet enclosure and she is sitting every day many hours in her waterbowel near the basking bulb. Sometimes she is sleeping in the warm water. I feared that she has kidney problems but she steadily is gaining weight. Last month 200 gr. She is 15 months old. I think she know what she is doing. That she need to soak herself to recover.
You cannot over soak your tort baby, but maybe the high humidity can help him too. Please go on with what you do. Nothing else can save the life of your baby as humidity and warmth.
